Christopher King graduated Magna Cum Laude from Abilene Christian University in 2010, married his college sweetheart Samantha, then moved to Waco, Texas to study the law. Chris earned his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law in 2013.
While at Baylor Law, Mr. King spent time at the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office, the Williamson County Prosecutor’s Office, Abilene Christian University Legal Office, Lone Star Legal Aid, and clerking for a Baylor Law Professor and a Federal Magistrate Judge in Houston, Texas. This multifaceted experience underlies Mr. King’s varied talents in the law. Throughout law school, Mr. King worked and interned for the Law Office of Robert G. Callahan, II. Their work together prepared them to forge their partnership immediately upon Chris’s licensure in 2013.

Robert Callahan’s aggressive style of advocacy is a product of Baylor Law School’s trial-centered education and his experience as a prosecutor. His oratory skills are well known throughout the courtrooms of central Texas.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. After he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2006, Robert joined the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office where he excelled. He was quickly promoted to a misdemeanor Court Chief position, then promoted again to prosecute felony crimes.
In 2011, Robert entered private practice with a vision to serve the people of central Texas. In 2012, he was nominated Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the McLennan County Young Lawyer’s Association.

Cody Stapp joined Callahan & King in late 2015 after serving as an Administrative Law Judge for the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. In that capacity he interacted with countless inmates, presided over parole revocation hearings, and helped the State of Texas discern whether a person had violated the terms of their parole.
Cody received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. After graduation, he received practical experience as a court clerk for judges in Grayson County, Texas. Cody went on to receive his law degree from Baylor Law School where he served as an editor on the Baylor Law Review and received numerous awards for academic excellence.
While he has worn many hats, Cody’s career path has brought him full circle to serving the needs of the people of central Texas.
